Visible Reminders
of Invisible Light
Laurel Hill
Teacher: Marie Madden-Rice
Students chose a painting by Strickland Lowry, Trompe-l’oeil of a letter rack (HCP 006) as a point of departure for two collaborative art works. Each of the 23 students - primarily 1st and 2nd years created an individual work inspired by family memories.
Each of these drawings, paintings and three-dimensional objects were combined to create a message boards in the style of Lowry. The background was painted as a trompe l’oeil.
