St Augustine's

Teacher: Paul O’Connor

The work draws inspiration from John Hunt’s interest in finding and collecting objects. It also relates to the position of the Hunt Museum, where the Abbey River and the Shannon meet. The art work reproduces the river bed at low tide, revealing the imprints of found objects.
Students worked with soft clay and a collection of found objects. The students explored and impressed found objects into clay and glass pieces were melted into the hollows reflecting pools of river water.
